AngelicA MArie HersemAnn 1980-2026, Age 45 and 11/12ths AngelicA passed peacefully at her home on March 1, 2026, in the care of her loving family. She was a self-proclaimed “Shoo In” to heaven. AngelicA was born on March 26, 1980, in Peoria Il., Daughter of Joel and MaryKay (Williams) Hersemann, Granddaughter of Carl and Kathryn Williams. Her children, whom she loved unwaveringly and fiercely, Tairae, Domanic, and Katana Hersemann and one granddaughter Emmary Early survive. Also surviving are her parents Joel and MaryKay Hersemann of Washington, brother Tyler (Cindy) Boyer of Springfield, sister Alanna (Matt) Weishaupt of Mackinaw, Sister-in-law Katie Hersemann of Brimfield, numerous nieces and nephews, and one great nephew. She was preceded in death by her brother Joseph Hersemann. Here is where it’s supposed to be about her work history, volunteering, or your basic life’s things. But that’s not what this is supposed to be about. This is about AngelicA and who she was. AngelicA was well known for her big, strong, loud personAlity and presence! There are many adjectives to describe AngelicA, but fAithful, feArless, loyAl, fierce, outgoing, wild, pAssionAte, decisive, Assertive, and empAthetic are what will be focused on here. Many have looked on at AngelicA’s life and thought her way of living was not what is to be expected. Those people would be right! AngelicA did not, for one single minute, care about what was expected. She cared deeply about being her Authentic self. “Judge not, lest you be judged” (Matthew 7:1) She showed her Authenticity every single minute, hour, and day by being fierce, wild, and outgoing in every positive way you can imagine. She was fierce with her loyAlty, love, kindness and generosity. Always being loyAl, sometimes to her own fault, to her friends, family, and mere acquaintances. She would lend a hand, help someone out of a tight spot, make herself available to offer a listening ear, hang out, go out, or be a soft place to land. Being around her could make you laugh and/or cringe at any given moment, and sometimes at the same time! She brought joy, fun, and pure energy everywhere she went. Finding and getting into places or situations that to hear the story of or experience with her is unbelievable but definitely cannot be made up. If you know you know! She was decisive and Assertive. You never had to guess where you stood. Always knowing what she wanted and where she was going in the very beginning of every situation. Never ever wavering in what she felt was next, whether others were on board or not. EmpAthy is something she had in mass quantity. Always caring for others. Giving time, energy, and kindness to those in her life and those just passing through. Many times, giving more of herself than was deserved. Being generous with money, things, and most of all herself was just a way of living for AngelicA. She gave willingly without reservation anything she could offer physically or mentally. PAssionAte about people, life and experiences, AngelicA knew that this was what was important on her journey here on earth. She created experiences with those she cared for throughout her entire life, but especially in her last year. She went on girl’s trips with friends, solo rides, and random adventures, always up for the company and experiences that adventure would bring. Especially showing her pAssion for people, life and experiences through memory trips this last year. From St. Louis to the New England states, to Colorado, to Hawaii AngelicA continued to live life to its fullest and with gusto. It’s cliché to say someone was the life of the pArty, but with her there is no better way to say it. She was the life of the pArty and made it very well known that was the case. “Living her best life” along the way. In her presence and by example, everyone was being shown how to let go of all the world’s expectations and let life’s moments and experiences lead you down the path or journey that is meant to be. As life threw cancer her way, she rose to the occasion with continued fAith and feArlessness. She chose to trust in God throughout the journey and fight. She overcame and conquered unbearable pain, strife, and physical challenges during her first go round. Ultimately, she fought and won. This only strengthened her faith and resolve to continue her life’s journey to the fullest. Letting God lead the way, she gave her strongest self over to the fight before succumbing to her cancer with a pure and faithful heart. Anyone who has been blessed to truly know AngelicA knows she was a very special being who brought so very much to this table of life. She most of all Lived Her Best Life and will be missed beyond measure. No services will be held per AngelicA’s wishes.
