Arline "Pat" Thannum Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Arline “Pat” Thannum, 96, of East Peoria, passed away on Tuesday, May 17, 2022, at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother whose greatest joy was her family. She was born in Peoria on March 22, 1926, to Johnathan and Elizabeth (Behrens) Linsley. She married her husband of 57 years, Allan “Al” Thannum in Peoria on May 10, 1958; he preceded her in death on June 23, 2015. Surviving are her sons, Mark (Kelly) Thannum of Germantown Hills and Scott (Julie) Thannum of Ft. Worth Texas; five grandchildren, Natalie (Drake) Thannum, Tim (Stephanie) Thannum, Riley (Josh) Olson, Madison Thannum, and Jackson Thannum; and one great-grandson, James Thannum. She was preceded in death by five siblings. Pat graduated from Manual Academy in 1944. After graduation, she worked at Commercial Solvents in Peoria. Through her forties, she was a semi-pro bowler, competing in several local and national tournaments. She took up golf later in life and enjoyed crafting, sewing, and doing newspaper puzzles. She was an active member of St. Monica’s Catholic Church in East Peoria. Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. on Sunday, May 22, 2022, at Gary Deiters Funeral Home & Cremation Services in East Peoria, with the Rosary at 5:45 p.m. A Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, May 23, 2022, at St. Monica’s Catholic Church in East Peoria, with a half-hour of visitation prior to the service at 1:30 p.m. Entombment will follow at Resurrection Mausoleum in Peoria.
