Gayle Jean Fidler Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Gayle Jean Fidler, 69, of East Peoria, passed away on July 18, 2021, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. She was born on October 11, 1951, to Gerald and Alice (Larson) Hanson in Chicago, IL. She married Thomas Fidler on June 29, 1974, in Pekin; he survives. She was a great mom and is survived by her 2 sons, Chad (Cherise) Fidler of Bennington, NE and Nicholas (Stephanie) Fidler of East Peoria; her daughter, Courtney (Dan) Cinnamon of Princeville; her brother, Dyke (Sharon) Hanson of Metamora, MI; She was a loving grandma to her 4 grandchildren, Victoria and Cole Cinnamon and Lauren and Eli Fidler. She was preceded in death by her brother, Curt Hanson. Gayle graduated from ICC School of Nursing and served as a nurse at Apostolic Christian Timber Ridge for 34 years. She was an active member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in East Peoria for 34 years and taught weekday school and was involved in Stephen Ministry. She also helped start the Shut-In Ministry and Mary/Martha Ministry. Gayle was an avid Chicago Cubs baseball fan. Visitation will be from 5-7 PM on Friday, July 23, 2021, at Gary Deiters Funeral Home & Cremation Services in East Peoria. Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM on Saturday, July 24, 2021, at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, with a half hour of visitation prior to the service at the church. Pastor Brian Pape will officiate.
