Janice K. Paluska, 68, of Peoria, passed away on Sunday, September 5, 2021. Janice was born on October 2, 1952, to Gilbert and Arlene (King) Paluska in Peoria; they both preceded her in death. Jan is survived by her two brothers Dennis (Terry) Paluska and Larry (Christina) Paluska both of East Peoria; nieces Abbey (Robert) Davis of Pekin, Carrie (Ethan) Herrman of Blue Grass, IA, Caitlin (Caleb) Lawrence of East Peoria, and Maia (Andrew) Barbier of TN; two great-nieces Madeline and Natalie Herrman; and four great-nephews Clay and Owen Herrman, Clark Lawrence and Emmett Barbier. She also leaves behind longtime friends, Deb, Marylou, and Nancy, and the rest of her Champaign family. She was also preceded in death by her nephew, Jason Paluska. She retired after many years of service as a juvenile parole officer for the State of Illinois. Janice enjoyed photography, art, painting, astronomy, and fishing. She loved nature and bird watching. She always added music in some form to her everyday life. She loved reading scripture & prayers, & following God through living her faith. Visitation will be on Thursday, September 9, 2021, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Gary Deiters Funeral Home in East Peoria. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, September 10, 2021, with additional visitation one hour prior, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Fondulac Cemetery.
