Lloyd E. Burdette Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Lloyd E. Burdette, 86, of East Peoria, passed away on Monday, May 23, 2022, at UnityPoint Methodist Hospital in Peoria. He was born in Hanna City on January 21, 1936, to Elmer and Olive (Hunt) Burdette. He married Gladys Kemp, then later married Grace Laredo; they both preceded him in death. He is survived by his children, Debbie (Brian) King of Washington, Sharron (Greg) Burns of TN, Charlotte (Mark) Camp of LA, and Kevin (Stephanie) Burdette of Washburn; his stepchildren, Rick (Lynn) Laredo of West Peoria, Denise (Gary) Smith, Victor (Lori) Laredo, and Anthony (Jackie) Laredo all of East Peoria; his two sisters, Velma Peters of Bartonville and Marjorie Miller of SC; his nephew, Albert; 20 grandchildren; and 28 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Verna, Arnold, Dorothy, Herbert, Ina, Eunice, & Ruby. After graduating from high school, Lloyd served in the Marine Reserves. He was a member of the Local 157 Painter’s Union and worked for Dragoo Painting in Peoria for 42 years. He was an avid bowler and enjoyed fishing. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday, June 1, 2022, at Gary Deiters Funeral Home & Cremation Services in East Peoria. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 2, 2022, at the funeral home. Entombment will be at American Mausoleum in Peoria.
