Lorraine B. McCabe Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Lorraine Belle McCabe, 86, of Mapleton, passed away on Monday, June 27, 2022, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. She was born on August 17, 1935, in Peoria, to Harry and Dorothy (Dagit) Berry. She was married to Ralph McCabe from 1954-1990. She was preceded in death by her brother, James Berry; sister, Nancy Perkins; and son, Randall McCabe. Lorraine is survived by her two children, John (Jolene Richardson) McCabe of Peoria and Sherry (Andy Camp) McCabe-Camp of Bartonville; two grandchildren, Devon (Willis) Rogy of Norwood and Derek Camp of Peoria; one great-granddaughter, Addilayne Rogy, with another due in August 2022; brother-in-law, Eugene Perkins; and several nieces and nephews. A very colorful and fulfilling life sweet Lorraine has had! She’s visited all 50 states and at least 14 foreign countries. Her zeal for fun in life included planning parties for family and friends, travel, and numerous hobbies, which included making zany photo character calendars and photo albums. Lorraine threw outstanding, mouthwatering dinner parties that were a treat to attend! She was also an accomplished seamstress and merry-maker! Lorraine will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday, July 6, 2022, at Gary Deiters Funeral Home & Cremation Services in East Peoria. Cremation rites will follow. A Celebration of Life will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 16, 2022, at Timberlake Country Club in Peoria.
