Lowell L. Summers Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Lowell L. Summers, 82, of East Peoria, passed away on Saturday, May 28, 2022, at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria. He was born in Christopher, IL on March 8, 1940, to Ermal and Lilly (Browing) Summers. He is survived by his 3 children, Sandra Summers and Cindy Summers-Taylor both of East Peoria and Lowell Leon Summers II of Amsterdam, Netherlands; his brother, Neil (Carolyn) Summers of Florida; 3 grandchildren, Tiffany (Brandon) Bowen, Jonathan Mark Trailor, and Joshua Alan Trailor; and 2 great grandchildren, Chance and Lincoln. He was preceded in death by his 2 infant sons, Leon and Deon; his twin brother, Lyndell; his 2 sisters, Joyce and Shirley; his granddaughter, Morgan; and his great grandson, Dylan. Lowell worked at Caterpillar as a machinist, retiring after 25 years of service. He enjoyed traveling and gardening in his free time. He was loved by his family very much and will be dearly missed. A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 8, 2022, at Gary Deiters Funeral Home & Cremation Services in East Peoria, with visitation one hour prior to the service at 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Fondulac Cemetery in East Peoria.
