Terri L. Harrison Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Terri L. Harrison, 64, of Berea, formerly of East Peoria, passed away peacefully at 3:30 AM on Sunday, November 14th, 2021, at the Compassionate Care Center in Richmond, KY. She was born August 8th, 1957, in Peoria to Joanne L. and Ernest D. Harrison, Sr. Surviving is her Father, Ernest D. Harrison, Sr. of Berea, KY, siblings, Karen S. (Robert) Mueller of Venice, FL, Diane M. Huffman of Vero Beach, FL, Wendy K. (Roger) Reiner of Mount Prospect, IL, and Christopher T. (Vanessa) Harrison of Chicago, IL. Terri leaves behind Richard (Dick) Bashusen, her faithful and loving partner of 35 years. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews who both rejoiced in her company and feared the words “don't make Aunt Terri come over there”. She was preceded in death by her mother, Joanne L. Harrison, and brother Ernest D. Harrison, Jr. Terri spent much of her life living in Central Illinois prior to moving to Berea, KY in 2013 where she built a beautiful country house and enjoyed exploring her new home state. Terri was an avid antique collector and would go “junking” on a moment’s notice. She enjoyed taking road trips with family and friends just to enjoy the conversation and scenery, having no destination in mind. She collected Hallmark ornaments and started a beautiful tradition of gifting an ornament to each family member at Christmas time. Terri was short in stature but tall in spirit. She was compassionate but tough. She was black and white - never gray. She knew no strangers and was quick to strike up a conversation or tell a joke. She was loving and fierce and had a passion for life. She spent her entire career as an Accountant and HR Administrator, last working for Mauer-Stutz of Peoria, IL for the last 20 years. She could make a keyboard sing in one hand and a calculator in the other all while carrying on with other important business on the phone. Her retirement was short, but we're confident she is balancing the books in a more peaceful place. A Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 25, 2022, at First English Lutheran Church in Peoria, with an hour of visitation prior to the service, at the church. Pastor Ryan H. Anderson will officiate. Inurnment will be at Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria. Gary Deiters Funeral Home & Cremation Services in East Peoria is assisting the family.
